We have had a Combine Harvester at Oxenham Farm since early 1963. It did in fact thresh the previous year's harvest, as the wheat was tied in sheaves
ready for the threshing gang to come round. With a bit of ingenuity and no real regard for health and safety, the crop was fed into the
front of the combine, a baler parked literally under the straw walkers at the rear to deal with the straw, and the grain
