We are a small conventional arable farm located on the north bank of the river Thames, just to the east of the village of Great Wakering in Essex England. (Google earth co-ordinates 50deg33'33N 0deg49'40E)
We farm around 300 acres and more or less all of this is below sea level and protected by sea walls.
The crops grown are wheat for flour, oil seed rape as a break crop, and we also do a small amount of haymaking, on some permanent pasture we have.
It is a family farm and has been owned by the Threadgolds since 1935. Working on the farm today are John Threadgold, and Neil Threadgold
